I’ll begin with the simple reminder that the Joneses are running under the Succession Laws of Equality – Modern – Living Will. This means that the heir can be either gender, adopted or natural, and must be the one with the highest relationship to their founder/previous heir.
In the case of Dan Jones and his children, it was a close ‘race’ to heirship, for pretty much everyone except Cade. He was just too danged evil, I guess! *g*
As you can see, Evan has the highest relationship score… and will be carrying on the family line.
