The Drifter Challenge

I’ve decided to try my hand at the Drifter Challenge.

The Drifter Challenge is a challenge which could either be long or short, depending on your take on it. It’s a 24-series of mini-challenges, and you can do all of them, or you can do just the ones you want.

Feel free to check it out, at the official website.

The basic idea, though, is that you start in a world where Oasis Springs and Wilow Creek are both completely emptied out and each mini-challenge has a goal to rebuild it, lot by lot.

The only thing left is one restaurant in Oasis Springs.

For this task, I created this guy – Austin Caine.

Austin is a young adult spellcaster from Glimmerbrook who felt compelled to leave the safety of the Magic Realm and head out into the real world after a powerful vision told him of a great devastation only he could undo.

He has basically no skills as a spellcaster, and who knows if I’ll actually need it.

This is Austin’s main objective. To build a minimum 1 br, 1 bath house totally $30k by the time his heir becomes a young adult. Oh, and only Austin is playable.

There are a whole list of other rules that go along with it, such as travel restrictions, who is playable and who isn’t, what you can actually do with non-playable characters, etc.

This is either going to be really good or really really bad!

I am blogging this, by the way, so you can follow along with the story of Austin and his family, along with links to any downloads, here:
