Sometimes they gossip about Xando’s older sisters and their boyfriends and school dramas.

But Jesse breaks down.  Weeks of worrying about Derrick’s disappearance and years of living on the run have worn her down.  Xando’s innocent question breaks through her carefully built ‘wall of tough girl’ and she begins to cry.
