Catchick: Sugar Skulls

Sometime between event #6 and now, I took some time off for ‘real life’ and just wasn’t playing Sims.  Then there was some updates to the game, a new expansion pack, and more updates.

I got City Living, play tested while I waited for my mods to be updated.  Updated the mods.  Dumped some old CC that was seemingly crashing my game and waited for this challenge to be updated.

It was a process, as you can tell.  😉

Let’s start with Bradley, who has been going through a deep depression balanced only by strange new impulses to do mean or hurtful things to people.  Any people. He finds himself withdrawing from the world, unable to cope because he does NOT know where this change is coming from.  Is it because his father died so tragically in his youth? His mother’s on-going cancer?  His father’s ghostly return?

So many questions and not enough answers.  He spends days unconsciously undermining friends at school, teachers, people he knows from around town.  Then he seems to realize it, and hides away in his bedroom with a dejected, sorrowed, “this isn’t me?  Why is this me?”

(A reminder, event #6 changed everyone’s aspirations.  Bradley got saddled with an unlikely ‘Public Enemy.’)

In the midst of all of this, Brenna becomes a teenager.  She is excited, of course, and immediately takes a selfie!

After her birthday, the family heads out to fulfill event #7 – a family fishing trip at that park!

It’s sometime after the fishing experience that Bradley becomes a YA.  He joins Power House, a social group affiliated with a local gym.  Working out seems to calm his urges to do bad things, so he’s running with it.

Through Power House, he meets Quinn Magee, and the two of them really hit it off.

Seriously...
Seriously…

They are soon dating exclusively and talking about moving in together.  They have plenty of options, but Quinn has her heart set on San Myshuno.  The bright lights of the big city!  The culture!

Speaking of culture… the community wide Day of the Dead celebration was still going on, so …

The Catchicks started late and almost didn’t get the last sugar skull before the celebration was over.

Shortly there after, Brenna became a YA, too, and Bradley decided to take that leap of faith with Quinn and moved to San Myshuno.
