Man! Things sure were rocky last time we Kept Up With the Joneses, weren’t they?
In some ways, the Jones the kids are doing much better now. Aubrie is young adult now, and she’s been very busy helping to make sure things run smoothly around the house.
There is still plenty of work to do around the house, but more and more, they are adventuring out. Aubrie is on the search for companionship… friends and dare we hope, love? She’s flirty by nature, but can’t seem to find that one special spark.
Evan spends a lot more time at the gym. Working out has become a passion for him.
And speaking of sparks… Brynn and her long-time ‘bff’ Chester Thompson (or is it Thompkins? I’m gonna have to look later *g*) have finally taken a step out of the Friend Zone and into the world of romance.
They’ve known each other forever, and it isn’t long before ‘go away for a long weekend’ together and come back married. Yes — Brynn eloped! She knew the family didn’t have money for a big wedding, so she ran off with Chester and just did it!
And for the time being, it even seems like Evan and Cade are doing better. They both seem happier, now… even though they did spend two or three days straight “twinning” with the matching clothes and all. But’s that’s typical stuff for twins, right?
They’re both getting out more, making friends beyond their little family unit and FINALLY doing well in school again.
In fact, the boys really seem closer than ever!
Soon, however, it’s time for their birthdays and Brynn bakes them a cake, Not as good as their mom’s but it’s good enough.
It’s not long after, while all the siblings were working in Dan’s garden and talking about things in general, that they all come to a bit of a decision…
They are going to throw a party! So they invited like everyone they knew, and Brynn made food… and they all just stood there and danced and danced and had a good time.
It was during this impromptu celebration that Brynn and Chester announced that they were expecting a baby, and that made it all the more special.
A few weeks ;ater, tragedy tried to visit them again. A very preggers Brynn was cooking breakfast and suddenly, the stove caught on fire!
And then so did Brynn!
Even and Cade watch on as the flames lick around her. Cade looks… oddly happy with the thought of his sister going up in flames.
Evan? More like annoyed.
Finally, the boys spring into action to save their sister and put out the fire.
Brynn, however, is not amused. “Geez, guys! Took you long enough!”
But she was safe, and the stove was replaced.
