It is night, and it is silent.
I walk through the house that have built amid the (former) ruins of Oasis Springs. The home my wife and I have built for our family...
… our beautiful daughters who sleep, dreaming many amazing things.
Tomorrow is a very important day for the twins, Britta and Callie. Their birthday. They day they age out of high school and take up their lives as young adults.
They are now the same age I was when the Vision of my new life came to me, and I took up with Charge to help rebuild this world.
There is still so much to be done.
The girls spent last night fussing over homework and new fashions. Callie has always been a little on rebellious side, but Britta seemed oddly focused. She had an air of determination about her that felt so familiar to me, because I remember it from my youth.
There is so much to be done…
Diana and I located a home for the Cow plant. It had to be done. It ate Zoe one day last week. It also spit her back out, but not before draining her aged body to a point of near exhaustion. I feared for her life, to be honest.
So the Cow had to go.
It really did, because I was saying, there is so much to be done yet.
It is time to prepare our Girls for their futures. Whatever those may be.
The twins celebrated their birthdays after they returned home from school. They are both straight A students, both smart and beautiful. Both well on their way to becoming masters of their chosen Magical arts.
Callie wishes to become a powerful Spellcaster. Like me, she says. If only she knew about the fruit bowl incident.
Britta says she is drawn to Potions. She excels in it already. I pray she will continue to excel in all her endeavors, for shortly after she blew out her candles, even in the midst of our family celebration, she revealed that in her dreams the night before, she had seen her life to be…
… a life away from us in Oasis Springs. It is Willow Creek that calls to her, a Vision as powerful as my own. You only have to look at her and you can see it is true. She is my Heir, and to her this torch has been passed.
A Note From the Simmer:
I know the rules say that the Heir is the oldest, but it specifies that it’s the oldest born to the Drifter and another sim living in the household. Which technically ruled Diana out, even though she is the oldest child, because she was the result of an alien abduction.
Britta and Callie were twins. Britta was the first one born/named, but since they were twins, I treated them as equals, waiting to see how raising free-range Sim children would work out. I couldn’t just play them and make them do things. But they still turned out well.
Britta had a grand total of 26 skills upon aging up. None of which I had a direct hand in giving her.

23 Skills
Callie had a total of 23 skills, which is also impressive for never having me to point them in the right direction. Free-range Sim children might be do-able after all!
Given that Britta was a) the actual first born/named of the twins and b) had more skills, I’m sticking with her as the next Drifter. Stay tuned for her first chapter, and also for the House 001 download post. It’s coming soon!
