Event Roll #22 for the Catchick family was to change careers. To be ‘fair’ all the adults changed careers. Medehi joined the Athletic career and became a team mascot. Cierra became a secret agent. Meaghan turned to a life of crime, and Delilah became a police detective.
Cierra promptly decided she didn’t want to switch jobs and stuck with her old one. Because, let’s face facts… she was getting up there in years and being a secret agent was a strenuous job!
Besides that, everyone else in the family was taking a serious pay decrease and they had a brand new house, plus bills to pay! And Delilah was pregnant again… so “suck it up, buttercup!” is basically what Cierra told us.
With a new baby on the way, Daniel, who is ready to become an adult, decides to move out and live with his brothers.
It was heart breaking.
Which is really kind of sad because Elyssa is adorable, even when she is making fussy faces.
Soon, it is time for Elyssa’s birthday. 
Isn’t she adorable?
She and her grandmother play chess and talk a lot.
Eylssa doesn’t remember why her grandmother is so sad. She knows someone is missing from their lives, but in the vague way that children remember their toddler years. She confides her worries in her teddy bear, telling Blarfly her secrets.
Event Roll #23 is to work out for 5 days straight. Cierra and Mehedi both follow through. 
It helps for Mehedi’s job, anyway.
It’s hard for pregnant Delilah to work out, but she and Elyssa can both swim, and that’s good, too.
But then, in the chaos of things, the new baby – new BABIES, excuse me, because Delilah was pregnant with TWINS – were born.
Evan and Evalina Catchick.
Shortly following their birth, another Event Roll (#24 occurred), and Evan became the new heir, because he was the only boy. Yes, future generations must be male.
In retaliation for being ousted out of heirship, Elyssa burnt all the twin’s baby pictures, and the only thing that remains from the old house, is this:
Yes, you hear correctly… old house. You see… the family was going along, making money… growing up… Elyssa became a teenager… people got promotions… and then, suddenly, Mehedi came home from work and said they needed to move to the city of San Myshuno. (aka Event Roll #25,
move to an apartment) Mehedi is a San Myshuno native, it’s true, but his new job required him to be closer to his work in the new stadium being built there. Moving could mean a promotion and no more having to wear that stinky mascot uniform.
So.. the family moves into 1010 Alto Apartments… a 4 bedroom, 3 bath totally UNFURNISHED apartment in the heart of San Myshuno.
City life is different than what the Catchicks are used to. They have neighbors coming and going at all hours, making noise at all hours. The first week or so, no one sleeps.
Then the neighbors complain to the landlord that “those newcomers are too loud!” and they receive “notice” that they could be kicked out.
And then, the unthinkable happens. Cierra dies, leaving this world to rejoin her beloved Meaghan. Sadly, since the apartment in San Myshuno had no back yard space, all of the family urns have been placed in a rental storage unit across town.
So much for making the best of it.
