Pollination

Oasis Landing… the city of the future.  Our tattooed Don is learning that there is more to life than endless affairs with women.  He devotes many hours to learning the art of Plumbotics and eventurally creates two Plumbots.  Loth-bot 1, a bot whose function is cleaning, gardening and being a super nanny.  And Loth-bot 2, a music bot.

His success in the Plumbot field make him something of a marvel to the sims of the future.  They don’t expect much from people of the past, but Don has surpassed their expectations.

One future sim approaches him with a delicate matter.  Her name is Ceres Beaker, and she wants his genes to carry on her family line.  She and her brother, Atom, are all that are left of the once-proud Beaker family.  Don’s not like other people and she wants his ‘extraordinary primitive dna’ for her children.

Don hasn’t gotten lucky in a while, so he agrees.  Only to discover that instead of a night of wild monkey love, Ceres wants him to donate his dna at the science facility.  The baby is cloned from their genetic material, incubated, given growth acceleration hormones and… handed him at the end of a few short hours.  His daughter, Celestia Lothario.

He takes her home to the base camp, where Loth-bot 1 helps him to care for her.  But Don soon realizes that the base camp (more like a hotel) is not the place for a baby.  He buys a house, and they move in.

Ceres visits often.  She wants to ‘observe the child’ is what she says.  Don soon discovers that having children in the future is not the same as it is back home.  Ceres, as the mother, would have no contact with her baby until it is a child.

Little by little, Don introduces Ceres to his ‘primitive’ ways.  As she bonds with Celestia in a way no mother of the future does, she also bonds with Don.  They consummate this bond one night… Don showing her the pleasures of the flesh that her people have long denied themselves.

Time passes and Celestia grows into a toddler.  When he’s not teaching her to talk, walk or other baby things, Don explores the wastelands and learns future music types.

He also continues to learn about Plumbotics.  There is something fulfilling about it, like he is doing something of worth for the first time in his life.  What did he have back home but a string of women and heart-break?  Here, he has… well… it’s almost a family.  As Celestia grows, Don finds himself reminded of little Dylan playing on the old silo floors.  He wonders if he should go back home.

Somethings apparently don’t change… zombies exist here, too.  Loth-bot 1 however, is unfazed by this zombie’s attempted attack.

When Celestia becomes a child, Don makes a decision.  It’s time to go home.  He speaks to Ceres of his plans.  She has borne him two more children, twins Melody and Lucas Beaker.  He asks her to go with him, to keep their family together, but she is afraid of what the past might hold.

She leaves him standing alone in Legacy Park, and as a heart-broken Don stares at the statues of those who’ve made their mark on the past of Oasis Landing, he formulates a plan.  He’ll go back… and he’ll change his own destiny.  One day, Ceres will walk here and one of those statues will be his.

He sends her a letter, telling her of his plans.  He will someday become the Pioneer of Plumbotics.  If he does, maybe then, he asks, she ill come back with him?
