One evening while Dan was feeling a little lonely, he decided to call Arielle up to hang out. She arrives, and while things are going okay for them, Dan notices she is a little off, for her. She confides in him that she still has not found a home, and boy! could she use one. Dan decides to take the chance and asks her if she’d like to be his room mate?
It’s not much, this lot of his, but maybe they can make something work?
Umm… yeah. Arielle moves in with $20K in funds and that works out to a rather nice little one bedroom house. Courtesy of the pre-styled room tools. I *soooo* did not build anything more than the hallway and front/back decks!
Things are a little awkward for a while, because while they are friendly enough to move in together, they aren’t to the point where they can sleep in the same bed. So for a while, Dan takes to the couch like the gentleman he is.
They quickly settle into a routine. Arielle is self-assured book worm, a bit of a neat freak and has dreams of becoming a master chef. Dan happens to mention that the restaurant he works at needs a dishwasher and she wastes no time in applying for the job.
Spending so much time together, both at home and at work, it’s only natural that their feelings for each other begin to evolve.
Dan begins to realize that Arielle completes him… makes him happy.
He drops to one knee – so nervous he felt like he could puke before even getting the words out – and poured his heart out to her while pulling out a jewelers box he had shoved in his pocket.
“Please say something?” he asked, hands clutched to his chest while she examines the ring.
The next thing he knows, Arielle throws herself into his arms, arms around his neck.
“Yes, yes yes!!! A thousand times yes, Dan Jones!”
